Reid had his 1-year appt. yesterday. Everyone that works there seems to love him. I'm sure they love all the babies that come through there but it still feels nice! =)
Anyway, he's doing well. They're not sure they got a real good reading on his height. It matched what they had for him last time and we're all pretty certain he's taller now. He weighed in at 24lbs and 7oz. His noggin is also still growing. Still above the 90th percentile. =)
We had been somewhat concerned about the possibility of an ear infection coming on but they were clear. We figure he must be pulling at the one ear because of molar-pain. Makes sense.
He got shots. It was sad but of course he did pretty well considering. We then went to refuel at Beiderman's before heading to the hospital for his lead screening (our home was built in 1920) and anemia screening. The nurse called this morning and said his anemia test was normal and they are still waiting the lead results.
He was a trooper for those tests... barely even flinched. It was snowing too. Just a random tidbit for ya. =)
By the time it was all said and done, Reid was one tired boy. He woke up happy this morning though and seems to be doing well.
We are so very fortunate. As we left the hospital, I thanked God for such a healthy boy. I also prayed for those families who have had a much rougher road than we have - that He would give them a little extra hope and comfort.
