Yep! You read that right. Mid-Week Randoms are back ya'll! =) I know you've missed them so. ha!
- So here pretty recently Reid got released, at least temporarily, from physical therapy. We still have to work with him at home since he's not 100% yet but their part of the work was essentially done unless he doesn't continue to improve. After that last appt., Dac and I ran by Cuppa Joes for the first time to eat. It was ok but I'm afraid my heart belongs to College Hill instead. After that we went to watch Journey's soccer game. It was fun and she did great! It was such a nice day too - we loved being outside for a while.
- Then, as I've already mentioned, we had Reid's 4-month appt. and shots. The weekend he turned 4-months he became an absolute bear. He had been kind of sick a about a week before that but then Easter Sunday rolled around and that afternoon it was nothing but screams. My usually super happy and sweet baby boy became...well... not so happy and sweet. =) He is still as stuffy as can be too. At this point I'm thinking it's got to be allergies. The good news is that I think all the fussing was due mostly to him going through a growth spurt and a developmental leap. He has literally been learning something new everyday. It's nuts. Things are starting to settle down again and he's getting back to himself. Whew!
- Last week we went to Charli's soccer game. Hilarious! =) That age group is just funny to watch. That's all there is to it. She did good though and was definitely having fun. Here's Reid gearing up for the game - sportin' his Easter shades.
- After the game we went to see GI Joe w/ Steve, Cori, and Val. The kids went to spend a couple hours with Aunt Darla and Uncle Darin.
- Friday night we went out to eat and I think that's about it.
- Saturday morning, we had a photo session in Wichita. We dropped Reid off with Terese, grabbed breakfast, and away we went. The session was nice and we took our time doing some shopping and eating lunch after. When we got back, we watched the WSU game.
- Sunday, we went to church then Dac, Reid, and I went to Bricks for a late breakfast. It was good and nice to just BE for a little bit.
- That afternoon I picked Sky up. She came over to hang out and do some cleaning for me to earn a little money. =) I enjoyed catching up with her and also enjoyed having clean floors when she left! I think Reid is going to be like Peety and think that Sky is just awesome. She loves them.
- Monday night I had a board meeting but I stopped for Braums treats on my way home. I hate not getting to spend time with Reid on those nights.
- BUT - yesterday, Dac worked until around 9 p.m. so I got to hang out with Reid. He was in the best mood and I absolutely loved that time with him! =) Here he was sitting in his high chair while I washed dishes. I can't get over how big he looks!!
- Here we are at today. Today is April 10. It's been three years since I got the message that my cousin Ryan passed away. When I think about it, I still feel that gut-wrenching sickness I felt when I first heard. I try not to think about that part - but instead - think about him being totally and completely healed. He wouldn't want people moping around. That I know for sure. =) This year is a little more sad though as I continue to come to terms with the fact that Reid won't get to meet Ryan. Not here anyway. He was a pretty epic player in my life and it seems only fair that Reid get to know him too. He would love Ryan and Ryan would LOVE him. Lord knows all the crazy shenanigans (ganging up on mom) the two would take part in and all the probably somewhat inappropriate things Reid would learn from him. =) Thankfully there's stories. He will still know Ryan. Today we're wearing purple (that diaper's purple, it's just hard to see that in the picture) in memory of Ryan "Rufus" and in honor of everyone affected in any way by Pancreatic Cancer. Oh - and for K-State since that's Ryan's team. =)
- You may notice that Reid is grabbing his toes in that picture. He found them Sunday during his before church play time. =) I looked over and out of nowhere he was looking at and playing with his feet. He found them!
- In other news, it's December-weather out there today. Lots of rain and sleet, etc... I say bring on the thunderstorms but keep the ice to Vanilla. Yes, I just did that. Anyway, on top of that, I get to work and Cori informs me I forgot his milk. MOM FAIL. I'm embarrassed to say how often this happens. The kid's gotta eat. You know - cuz he might waste away or something. =) So I trekked back out in that mess. The good news is there were donuts at work. holla!
