Midweek Randoms

Somehow I keep getting behind. Somehow I keep forgetting or not having time to post on Wednesdays. Let's just roll with this Thursday thing today, cool?

A couple weeks ago the U.S. Attorney for the district of Kansas came to speak to some kids at our high school. Pretty interesting!
Reid is just such a little boy these days. So big! He loves playing outside now. On nice days, Dac will take him out while I'm cooking dinner. He mostly just walks around and explores, but he loves it. I'm sure he'll have plenty of adventures.
Weekend before last we went to stay with some of our closest friends. Unfortunately, the whole gang wasn't able to get together, but those of us that were had a great time. It was just a super quick trip full of fun, food, a fire pit, loving on kids that aren't our own, outside play time, and catching up with people we love to just be in the same room with. It was also Anna's birthday, so we celebrated that. =)

Reid and Ruby shared a bath and of course we had to get the obligatory pictures to show them when they're older. ;)

When we got back, Reid had some stomach issues and ultimately ended up with an ear infection, so Dac and I took turns staying home with him all week.

We got resourceful...
 And snuggled. Poor baby. =(
Thankfully, he was well in time to enjoy Easter festivities. On Wii night, we dyed eggs. =) Ok, Reid squirmed on the table while I dyed two eggs. haha.

Friday, I did some stuff around home then Kayla and I went to Derby for a wild and crazy Target shopping trip. I was trying to do some couponing (ended up saving over $97 but it should have been $15 more than that... I screwed up) and we both needed some last minute Easter apparel. It was crazy but it was fun. Friday night, we went to Good Friday service. Reid wouldn't sit still or be quiet so it was kind of a bust - but Good Friday service has always been one of my favorites.

Here's Reid's Easter basket. I'm not a huge gift person but I do enjoy putting together cute little baskets for him. =) He got a fox straw cup, goldfish, The Foot Book, and an egg sorter toy you can see below.

I got plenty of Easter pictures with the big camera but don't have those ready to share yet.

Anyway, back-tracking - Saturday, we shot maternity pictures in the morning then I (along with Val) made deviled eggs for Easter with Dac's family that evening. I love eggs. mmm mmm good.
We ate and the kids hunted eggs and totally wore themselves plumb out. It was a lot of fun.

Here's a picture of what was supposed to be Reid's Easter outfit. Fail. It ended up being WAY too big for him to wear. I was a saaaad panda.
So he just wore a pair of shorts and a baggy polo. Sigh. We went to church, where I sang.

Here's a throwback photo. The top is him and Felicity on Easter last year... the bottom, this year. Holy moly... they're getting so big. Love them both!
After service, all the kids went to the park to hunt Easter eggs. =) Then, we stopped by my grandma's to say hi before heading to my parents for lunch with them and my aunt and uncle who are up from Louisiana. Again, lots of fun.

Here's some goods I got this week... only spent $2 total for everything pictured here. I'm giving it all to the Crops of Righteousness hygiene drive area churches are participating in. =)
Reid is finally back to his old self for the most part. He is feeling much better, thank God. Last night, we went back to my parents for a delicious supper with two sets of aunts and uncles that I don't see often, so that was a lot of fun.

I painted my toes this weekend. Winning!

It's storm season. I LOVE storm season. I can't help it. I know the storms are sometimes awful and devastating, but of course I don't love that. I just love the air and the sounds and, well... everything besides the awful and devastating. =) Every spring my Dad and I would watch Twister. I think it's time to pull that out again!

Hopefully I'll have more Easter pictures to share soon. Have a great week!
