I still don't have Easter pictures ready to share, what can I say, life's been a little jam-packed lately. We'll get there. =)
I think I may have already mentioned that last week my Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jerry were up for a visit. It was great to see them! We also got see my Uncle Mike and Aunt Sue who we don't see all that often - so that was a bonus! That also meant a little more time with my parents which was cool.
Friday, I picked up my Bountiful Basket. It was a good one! Lots of stuff I'll actually eat. ;) Then, I met Terese, Val, Steve, and Cori for supper at La Fiesta while Dac and his Dad worked on something for our bathroom.
Saturday morning, I went to my cousin Cassandra's baby shower. She's having a girl toward the end of May. Speaking of babies, my cousin Courtney is expecting a girl toward the end of September. Couldn't be happier for them. Anyway, the shower was cute and fun. I got to catch up with a couple friends from high school and oh my, the cake was divine. So good. That afternoon, while Reid slept, I cleaned the heck out of the house. It had just been driving me nuts for a while. Now, of course, it looks like I didn't do a thing... but it was nice that day. ha! =) That night, Dac's Dad came over to work some more, so Terese invited me over for supper.
Sunday, we got up bright and early to go to Topeka for John and Anna's son, Jack's baptism. We left extra early because there was weather all over the stinkin' state. We attended mass beforehand which is always interesting to me (we're not Catholic). I enjoy seeing how different people do things. Reid, as expected, wouldn't sit still or be quiet longer than about 15 minutes so Dac took him out, leaving me to be non-Catholic in a Catholic service by myself. ha! ;) Afterwards, they had the Jack's private baptism and it seemed perfect to me. It was full of laughs, prayers, and a whole lotta love. I know Dac is really honored to be Jack's godfather. We love that family and are so grateful to have that whole group of family-like friends - many of whom we google chatted with that evening. =)
Monday, I had a Board meeting. Last night and most the rest of the week, Dac has to work lots of overtime. TV shows are coming to a close right around now, so you know I'm in the zone with that. =)
I've also been doing more couponing. I had a great trip to Dillon's last week but didn't get a picture. Yesterday, I went for round two and got this stuff for $13 - saving over $19. Not the best I've done, but not too shabby either. I think I might be starting to get the hang of it.
In other news, Reid's getting better at drinking from a straw. He still drinks from sippy cups most the time but it's nice to have the straw option, especially since he has some cute straw cups. ;) Reid is also loving to play outside. Have I already mentioned that? If so, sorry. He seriously has the best time though.
He's a funny little dude. As he moves more and more into toddler town... so has there been more toddler tantrums. =) He's definitely asserting himself more and has his own ideas of how things should go.
He's so incredibly busy but when he does slow down, he's very serious about what he's working on. He's enjoying stories more and likes to 'read' on his own some now. He really likes that new touch-and-feel book on the right. He got it for Easter and loves feeling the bunny fur and the grass.
I need to be better about taking more pictures and documenting more again. I also need to get in more of the pictures. It's had to remember all that on a daily basis.
