We spent Thursday in Boulder. Oh Boulder. You hippie-little-love-nest you. You're cute as can be and kinda fun but I think you're high as a kite on a windy Kansas day and you smell of incense. Just sayin'. =)
We drove around, looked at the beautiful campus (it's not my OSU but it's pretty dang close) and took a stroll through Pearl Street Mall which was cool.
Someone spent a lot of time creating the artsy menus. =) They also gave us a sample of their fresh, homemade cookies. Bonus.
I branched out and got their most popular sandwich. The T.B.A (turkey, bacon, and avocado). It had... get this... turkey, bacon, and avocado on it. =) It also had mustard and tomatoes (and lettuce, but I lost that part in a hurry). It was oh so deliciously fabulous. YUM. I paired it with Boulder Canyon chips and a sweet tea. Be still my beating heart.
After lunch we went to Boulder Beer. This was a much better tour than Great Divide (though their branding isn't nearly as cool). Our tour guide was named Chicken Dan. =) You can't go wrong with a beer drinking guy named Chicken Dan. It's nearly impossible.
Anyway, we did that deal and at the end there's a room full of pitchers for tasting. Dac got him a fun t-shirt on the way out while I got my parched self a pint of water. =)
It was lots fun. After this we took a leisurely drive... more on that next time!
