Colorado #1

So we have this great group of friends. They started out as Dac's friends in high school, but I've adopted them as my own now too. =) Anyway, I've mentioned them several times before and we try to get together a couple times a year at least.

Matt and Kelly live in Colorado and you may remember that the boys like to do the 4th of July firework shows - like last year for instance. With all the fires (sad face) in Colorado this year, the show they were supposed to do got cancelled. We still wanted to go visit though so Dac and I left Monday the 2nd around lunch time. We got in that evening and John was already there (he flew...lucky!). Kelly was at rehearsal for Seussical the Musical ('cuz she's cool like that!) so I sat around talking to the boys until she got home. I think this was the night we found lots of fun music on Spotify to listen to.

We got up the next morning and headed out on the town. We swung by Costco to get some yummy things for the 4th, then went to a tasty American Indian place called Tocabo. It was featured on The Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives". It. Was. Delicious. Seriously tasty. John got stuff off "Guy's Menu" including bison ribs with a blueberry bbq sauce. Everyone else got indian tacos that looked divine.

Here's Dac's bison indian taco:

I, however, got the bison-stuffed fry bread. Mmm. Mmm. Good. I also added honey to the top which made it even better. The only thing I would have changed about my order was to get extra fry bread on the side! =)

Happy customer.

Artwork. Some of their t-shirts said "no reservations needed". Have I mentioned I'm part Osage - on my dad's side? Holla!

Here's me looking all touristy-hawkward thanks to poor posture and feeling weird b/c people were trying to get inside and I was in the way. haha!

After lunch we braved IKEA. I didn't get a ton of stuff but I did get some fun dog butt hooks for the nursery. Here's part of the group with their loot.

Next up was a tour of Great Divide brewery. The tour was just mediocre and there wasn't tasters along the way. The bar part was also super packed so after waiting for a while, we decided to head out.

Mine. =)

That night, Kelly had rehearsal again (boo) so the guys and I headed to Longmont to eat at this quaint, happenin' little pump house. It appears it was set up in an old fire house. Way cool. The atmosphere was fun and the food was fab. So was the company... duh.

I got fish and chips (sweet potato fries). YUM.

Dac got a burger and a couple beers.

I took these two on the ride home. It was pretty hazy and the mountains weren't nearly as visible as they normally are.

But still there. Whew! =)
