New Years Day Christmas

Since we were gone to Louisiana for Christmas, we celebrated Christmas on New Years Day with Dac's immediate family. It was fun and we were all spoiled.

Austin always gets mad at me when I try taking his picture but I just told him to shut it, that these are for Reid when he's older. Done and Done.
We played with these fun little melting snowmen. You build it, it 'melts', you build it again. =)
Please excuse the AWFUL photo quality. Here's Steve, Cori, and Charli.
Here's a melted Mr. Snowy.
Aunt Val with Britton.
Two of my nieces and nephew Tater. =)
Grandma Jo and her bestie Margaret. These ladies are ornery.
A thrilled-looking David with his grandkids... all wearing black t-shirts, just like he always does.
Of course, I didn't get pictures of me, because I was behind the phone... and Terese must have been working in the kitchen. Fail. Next year, I vow to bring out a real camera.

Sip and See

On Reid's 1-month birthday, he and I went to a sip-and-see shower...for him! =) A few of Terese's closest friends hosted and it was the perfect way for them and some others to meet and cuddle my new little mister. Dac and I felt SO much love when Reid was born. I still can't get over it. We, of course, felt lots of love going out to him but we felt SO much coming right back at us too. I can't say enough how much we appreciated it (and still do!)

So, I showered, fixed my hair, and put on jeans (be them maternity) and off we went to Lori's.
Reid was a sleepy little model citizen at the shower.
I'm thankful Darla had her camera because I flat forgot mine at home!! Thanks for capturing these! =)

Aunt Val.
My longtime pal Kasie.
Lori (oh she loves him so!)
The adorable cake that matched the invite perfectly.
Terese and a few friends. This is also where Reid met his now-daycare lady, Connie.

Me and my hot date. ;) All the other ladies were jealous. ha!

PS - seriously... how does he go from teensy sleepy Reid to full on big busy bee Reid in just one year? Mind blowing folks. Mind. Blowing.

Christmas 2012

It has occurred to me that I never posted Christmas pictures from LAST year. Oy. I guess maybe I was a tad busy? Hhhmmm. Anyway, better late than never right? =)

This is by no means an all-encompassing collection but a few to remember Reid's first Christmas anyway. Oh - and these are all a little out of order, so bear with me. =)

The lunch spread at my Grandma Millie's house Christmas day.
Grandpa Ed and Grandma Millie with a not even 1-month old Reid. =) So tiny.

Aunt Deb and Uncle Kevin.
My dad with Reid on Christmas Eve. It's hard to see in the picture but Reid is doing his little face I loved so much with his tongue sticking out. haha. I forgot how often his tongue was out at first.

With Grandma

With a proud Grampy and Tater. =)

Austin and Val

Reid before Call Christmas. I THINK this was his first time wearing jeans.
Being a Reid is exhausting!
Grandma Jo and her kids. All the pictures from here out are from Darla!
 Babies everywhere!
 Playing pass the Reid...
Our family grew a lot in 2012.
Reid and his tired mom and dad. ;)
The great grandkids. Like I said. Babies everywhere.
Can I just say that I loved newborn Reid. I didn't want to see that time go and I had a death grip on it the whole time. This year though, I remember being thankful Reid was older and I didn't have to be sitting backwards on a toilet seat pumping milk for him to eat. Just sayin'. Him growing does have it's pros. ;)
Clearly he was not impressed with photo hour.

 Grandkids

I can hardly even remember what it felt like to hold him when he was that small. Here he is with Kayla.

It was a great Christmas. One with many firsts. We gave Reid some soft blocks that weren't even wrapped and that was it. Reid loved to look at the Christmas tree when he was fussy, so we did lots of walking and bouncing up that direction. =) Everyone was so excited to see and love on him. Best Christmas gift. EVER.
