Midweek Randoms

We survived last week. Whew! It was a doozy work-wise. That's all I've got to say about that!

Friday, I went with Val and Cori to Wichita after work to find clothes for our big family photo session later that weekend. We rushed to find stuff that was 'ok'. We didn't get stuff we just LOVED but what do you expect! =) We shopped 'til we dropped before a late supper at Freddy's. We had fun and it was good to get out for a while.

Saturday morning I did photos of the sweet squishy Felicity. =) Meanwhile Dac took care of this little booger. His face could NOT be more perfect to me. After photos, I ran to Derby with my mom for a bit.

We skipped church on Sunday due to a case of the sleepy's and a need to get some stuff done. During Reid's morning nap, I got productive and made baby food for the first time. We got some mangos and butternut squash in our Bountiful Basket this week and I didn't figure we'd use them, so why not whip them up for Reid to try? I made carrots the next day.

Each cube is an ounce so it's easy to measure out and mix and match what we give him.

We went to my Grandma's for lunch on Sunday. After that, I tried to nap - for the second time that weekend with no such luck. It was an epic fail. Then, we got ready for family photos. This was Dac's side of the family... parents, siblings, and Grandma Jo. Aside from the tick (holy itchiness) I got, I'd say it went pretty well. Better than I envisioned. =) We went out for pizza afterward.

Monday, we did quite a bit around the house then went to eat lunch with my parents so Dac could help my Dad move some stuff. After that, I tried for the THIRD time to take a nap. It took a little while to get Reid back to sleep but I snuggled with him on the couch and finally got that nap in. Sigh. It was worth the extra wait and work. =)

Later, we went on a family walk and Reid played with Peety for a bit. Peety is SO good about being patient with Reid and his death grips to the face. He's such a great dog for kids. We always closely supervise of course and when Peety looks done or starts to get hyper we wisk Reid away. It's funny because Reid is really starting to get interested in Peety. He thinks that dog is hilarious.

Then it was back to work. =( Another busy week but we're that much closer to the weekend! =)

In other random news. I love listening to Kidd Kraddick in the morning on my way to work. Always cracks me up!
