Anniversary

Dac and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this weekend. We tied the knot on September 16, 2006. =)

In that time we've taken some trips, moved, changed jobs, bought our first home, adopted our little Peety pug, started a photography business, and learned a lot of lessons along the way. Soon, we'll be tackling yet another big adventure together. =)

While we had originally planned to take a little anniversary trip/last pre-baby trip to Kansas City, we decided to stick around here and use the time and money to work on house projects since we're behind in that department. I'm pretty sad we missed out on that opportunity but it was a productive weekend (plus, I wasn't feeling well at all most the weekend anyway, so it probably worked out for the best.)

Instead, we headed to Wichita Friday night to eat at BJ's and do a little shopping. I got a deep dish pizza and some house-brewed cream soda while Dac got a couple of their house beers and the jalepeno burger. It was pretty good. Again, I wasn't feeling well so I really didn't even have much of an appetite (for once) but we still managed to laugh a lot and have a great time.

After dinner, we did some browsing at the mall, then hit up a couple stores in Derby before grabbing some Freddy's custard and heading home. The rest of the weekend was full of house projects but even just those few hours away together were fabulous. =)

I can't imagine doing life with anyone else. You and me, we're meant to be!

  1. Congrats! My sister and her hub are on their 6th also, and it seems like they've never NOT been together. From the little I've seen on this blog, you and Dac are so happy that you'll make great parents.

  2. Happy Anniversary you love birds!! Sounds like a great weekend together! We have yet to try BJ's! Must do that now that I feel like eating again :)

We are still trying to decide if we will take a anniversary trip next month for our 10yr. Last pre-baby trip for us too before becoming a family of 4!
