Midweek Randoms
- I had a productive lunch hour yesterday and vacuumed all my floors. I'm kind of pumped about that. To say it was overdue would be a wild understatement.
- I have a walk/dinner date tonight with Kayla. Good times ahead.
- When I think about everything I need to do at home, at work, at everywhere in my life... I get so overwhelmed that all I can muster up the motivation to do is watch LIFE episodes on Netflix.
- Speaking of LIFE... I'm done with it now. It was so good, I hate that it was only two seasons. I may watch Psych next. Who knows. I should really walk more and clean my house more often or something. Maybe find a hobby? Eh. Maybe tomorrow. Ha!
- This week I'm bound and determined to give myself a mani/pedi. A little scrub in the tub, a nail buffer, and my favorite orange polish should tie me over until my birthday trip to the salon in a couple weeks!
- I have monthly appointments scheduled with my friendly neighborhood chiropractor but I'm thinking they need to be weekly appointments. Ouch.
- I ordered my first cloth diaper and it came in the mail the other day. It was so bright, soft, and fluffy that I can see what all the fuss is about. I'm excited to try my hand at it.
- I also picked up some pretty stinkin' cute fabric over the weekend and Cori made me some adorable burp cloths. =) YEAH!! Love them.
- Speaking of the weekend - Dac and I had our first date night in a while Friday. With the spare room renovations, family in town, photo sessions... we've allowed that to take a back burner. It was a much needed date and we had such a great time. We drove to Wichita so we had extra chat time. Dac automatically swung through Sonic to get us cranberry waters (man after my own heart), we parked in Old Town and walked to the River City Brewery. I ordered their apparently famous mac-n-cheese. I felt kind of lame ordering that but once I tried it I could see why it's famous. It was SO delicious. The perfect mix of baked and creamy. Divine. Dac ordered the Reuban and tried a couple of their house beers. It had been years since either of us had been there so it was sort of like trying a new place. We walked back, sat and people-watched, ate some gelato, then headed home. It was such a nice time away from all that waited to be done at home.
- Saturday morning we had a family session in Mulvane. Then, Terese picked me up there to go shopping in Wichita. We hit up a few places and ate a late lunch at Texas Roadhouse. It was yum and we had a good time. That night, Val and I went to Cori's to watch The Help (loved it the first time and loved it the second). We had french bread pizza, cupcakes, mini sundae cones, and a couple crying fits. haha. Perfect girls' night! =)
- Sunday, we went to my Grandparent's house for lunch. It was delicious complete with fresh apricot pie and homemade ice cream. =) MMMMM. NOTHING is better than Grandma's pie a'la mode. I'd put her pies up against anyone's! SO good. I took a pretty decent nap that afternoon and spent the rest of the day doing laundry and watching LIFE.
- I was pretty stinkin' worthless Monday. Terese stopped by to pick up a couple ladders and brought donuts with her. Other than that and the occasional cleaning/laundry, I lounged around watching more LIFE and taking mini naps. I'm OK with it.
- I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna make myself an eyebrow appt. I'd like to get my hair did too, but that might be pushing it for one week. haha!
- Other plans this week include cleaning the bathroom. Holla. Join me if ya like!
- Other than that, it's just my appt. on Friday. Cori has one too so this may be our last girls' doctor day before the twinsies are born! =) Looking forward to it.
